Financial regulators in New York has approved Stellar Lumens. It will be traded on itBit, an institutional-grade crypto exchange that also offers Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Litecoin.

The importance of this move is twofold: First, and most importantly, it indicates that regulators don’t view cryptos as “securities.” Doing so would completely disrupt the industry, bringing in the SEC and a host of regulations that may hamper the space. Second, Lumens’ approval paves the way for its being accepted and offered across numerous other crypto-exchanges.
